Order Sync Guardian keeps your Shopify orders flowing into a Google Sheet — and, unlike most sync apps, tells you the moment sync stops and recovers the missing orders automatically.

Getting started
- Install the app and open it from your Shopify admin.
- On the Order Sync page, click Connect Google account and grant access. We only request access to the single sheet we create.
- Click Create synced sheet. The app creates a Google Sheet with the correct column header and starts syncing new orders.
- Enter an alert email so we can notify you of any issue.
- Subscribe to the Guardian plan to activate syncing. You can run a 60-day backfill to import recent orders.
Common questions
Why does the app create the sheet instead of using mine?
We use Google’s drive.file permission, which only lets an app touch files it created. That keeps your other Drive files private and avoids intrusive permissions — the tradeoff is that the app makes the sheet for you.
Is sync two-way?
No. Sync is one-way, Shopify → Sheet, by design. The app never writes back to your store.
What happens if syncing breaks?
A heartbeat compares your Shopify orders against what reached the sheet. If anything is missing, you get an email listing the affected order ids and the app re-fetches and re-queues them automatically. Orders are never dropped — they queue safely and flush when the connection is restored.
Do you edit rows I’ve already got?
No. The sync tab is append-only. Cancellations and refunds are added as new event rows. Do your analysis in a separate tab (e.g. with IMPORTRANGE/QUERY) so the sync tab stays clean.
How do I cancel?
Cancel the subscription from the app’s billing screen, or uninstall the app. On uninstall we revoke Google access and delete your data within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy).
